July is done and dusted!
What did I achieve? My chookshed challenge quilt top is done, Swoon is a top!
Swoon is a very big top. This was my blocks made in last years Bee group there are 2 more that I think will become a bag.
Dave dug up the potato crop they are Dutch Creams and very tasty, I made so much Basil Pesto but the Basil has died off now
My niece Sarah came to visit with her daughter Celeste, Girls are very different.... or maybe it was just Celeste. We went into Tamworth for a drive and went to the golden Guitar and had the nicest scone in the cafe there, then we went to the Lifeline book shop, it was the first time I had been there and oh my there are so many books, most are $3 I got the patchwork and knitting book for $1 each and I didn't even look at the cookbooks.

My eldest son Grant and grandson Max were in Sydney on the same weekend to go to the football and we met up for breakfast at an Irish Cafe, where we tried Black pudding and White pudding! The black was spicy and dry but the white wasn't too bad. Max had the Big Irish breakfast but he couldn't finish it, he is 18 years old and 6foot 7 !!!!
I have been knitting, well I made Francis a beanie on four needles! very fiddly and I may never do it again
My new to me recipe for the month was Hidden Veg Sausage Rolls , I thought they were delicious! So did Brad and Sophie. Dave was surprised that he didn't get indigestion from them, Ha!
I listened to the Testaments to and from Sydney this is the sequel to the Handmaids Tale it was riveting.
I joined Chooky a couple of times for a zoom session and got some of my Bigs and smalls hexagons done.
The Chookshed number for August is 6 which is my Message in a bottle quilt, which was a BOM from Material Obsession Way back I might take it to Spring Stitchin weekend later inthe month and my quilting goal is to quilt my Fuzzy quilt which was a Bee quilt from maybe 2020? I'm not sure.
Shane is visiting this week so vegan food will be cooked by him not me, Tofu and me do not enjoy each others company.
