Tickled Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to my spot in the Tickled Pink Blog Hop run by Carla from         Creatin in the sticks
I thought what tickles me pink? I can tell you now that if you tickle me too much you will end up on the other side of the room, I have kicked my husband off the bed when he was tickling my feet but that's another story. then theres the pink side of things being the mother to three wonderful boys there hasn't been much pink in my life. So I did what any self respecting quilter would do and I bought a fat quarter bundle of pink batiks.

I have always loved ostrich and peacok feathers, I always wanted a feather boa, so I decided to make Anna Maria Horners feather quilt. So I sewed up my strips cut them on an angle didn't pay attention to the way the plumes were going and sewed away I promise I will pay attention on the next lot.

I am loving this look and can't wait to cut and sew some more this is a work in progress.
Be sure to go and visit the other blogs today

This was laid by one of my girls today and I don't think it tickled either
Have a great day Happy Sewing

I love the feathers! When you said you needed to pay more attention to your directions it took me a minute to understand what you meant because I liked the way they looked so much. Great project. Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean about not having a lot of pink in your life when you have a houseful of boys. LOL!! Your feathers are a perfect little way to have some pink in your life. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to enjoy a granddaughter one of these days. It took me almost 40 years, but I was tickled pink when I got a granddaughter to spoil. :-)

Neat feather block, and with all those boys I am sure you need a dash of pink in your life. Yeah I have chooks too and occasionally we get an egg and we watch to see who is limping later. :D

Holy, moly that is a big egg! Those feathers certainly tickle me pink no matter what direction the plumes go. Love it!

I think your feathers look fantastic; who says the angles have to go a certain way?

Gorgeous bundle of pinks there. Great minds think alike - I also did a feather. I am interested in the way you did yours - mine was paper pieced.

Those feathers are just so perfect for this hop. The bundle was an excellent choice for a gal surrounded by guys.

It's going to be a fabulous quilt. The pink fabrics are perfect. You know, the 'boys' may find out the pink really tickles their fancy.

I'm with you on the pink and boys; with two boys I've never really used pink and I don't have much pink in my stash, but I really love your pretty pink feathers. And poor hen to have to push out an egg that large. Uff-da!

Your blog title makes me giggle. So cute! Love, love. love your "peacock" or "flamingo" feathers. You make me want to try something in pink which is not my favorite color at all. Thanks for posting on my blog.
